Male - ChristianI'm really beginning to HATE Norton!
I was a fan of Peter Norton way back in the DOS days, using his Enhanced Batch File program, Norton Commander, Utilities, etc... . but, wow... his INTERNET SECURITY stuff is going downhill FAST!!!!
I have seen this on several computers lately.....

And the "solution" is to uninstall and RE-install the program!

OK, I don't really need "help" -- maybe just needed to VENT!!!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

You didn't hate it before? It's horrible, inefficient bloatware which is basically impossible to uninstall.

I didn't hate it 20 years ago, and I guess I've been in the pot while the water temperature has been slowly elevating.

I use it and I love it. And I work security for a livimg, so I can tell you that it is actually very highly regarded in most circles. Mo0st people who don't like it are individuals.

I've been an IT guy since the mid 80's and have used MANY Norton products. Lately, however, it seems the "individual" products have all kinds of weirdnesses like -- they just stop working, and you need to TOTALLY uninstall the product, and reinstall it, and the reinstall often stumbles until you clear a bunch of stuff from the registry and/or delete a bunch of folders. Right now, I'm running the Norton Removal Tool on a client computer, and it has been "hung up" in removal mode for over 30 minutes. WAIT!!!! The progress bar JUST MOVED!!!!!
