A Glory Seed Devotional
Home sweet PSALMS…

We pray!

God listens!

We encounter storms!

We cry for help!

God says, “Let there be peace!”

And the words of the Psalmist echo across the eons of time, “Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. The LORD is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.” (Psalms 28:6-8 ESV)

The LORD is YOUR strength!

I remember my dad giving his testimony of the day he gave his life to the LORD he found himself in a foxhole with bullets flying everywhere, “God,” my dad prayed, “if you get me out of this I’ll give my life to you.” Then after spending nearly a year is a German POW camp he came home and I was born in 1946.

It wasn’t a rifle that saved my dad. It wasn’t a bible that saved my dad’s life. It wasn’t a church that saved my dad’s life. It was a prayer uttered by a frightened and young lonely soldier huddled in a foxhole in a far away land. It was my dad’s weakness and the LORD’s strength that saved my dad.

The same LORD that my dad met in a foxhole in Europe is the SAME LORD strengthening and saving YOU as you read these words!

BLESSED BE THE LORD!

Heard any news better than that lately?

Grace and PEACE!
Gary

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”
