Have you ever stopped to realize that God never panics! Have you ever stopped to realize there are no panic attacks in heaven? Have you ever heard the phrase “patience is a virtue”? Have you ever stopped to realize that patience is not a virtue but it IS a part of God? Well if you haven’t stopped to think about those questions NOW is the time and while you are feast on some of these gems as well.

“The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” (Psalms 103:8-12 ESV)

“…slow to anger and abounding in STEADFAST love.”

“…his STEADFAST love… as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” Take a minute and consider the four directions – north, south, east, and west. If you start at the North Pole and go south when you pass the South Pole you’ll be going north. The north and south directions are connected. But if you travel east you’ll always be going east and if you travel west you’ll never go east. That’s God’s STEADFAST love at work completely separating you from your sins.

Now if you thought that was powerful and life changing wait until you get a load of this! “But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.” (Psalms 103:17-18 ESV)

Remember the east – west gem from above! God’s STEADFAST love is like going east or west because it is never ending. What does that have to do with panic attacks and patience? Everything!

Marvel at this gem and then allow the Holy Spirit to experience it to you. “Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!” (Psalms 37:3-7 ESV)

Because God’s love is STEADFAST and unending God is trustable, therefore we need not panic and patiently wait for God to help us.
