My old Methodist church did it. My current church has a carpooling group. Public transportation is nigh non existent in Texas, and I imagine even more so in the panhandle. That probably explains some of it.

Christ our Passover has been sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast.

      Side story...

Our church years ago had a bus ministry. We were picking up 3 kids in particular from a particular house every Sunday Morning, but one morning when we got there, their dad - a truck mechanic - met us at the door, obviously 'coming down' from a night of hard drinking. He was very angry, and demanded to know who said we could pick up his kids. Before we could answer, he said, "If I want them to come to church, I'll bring them myself!" Our "bus captain" replied, "I dare you!" (It probably wasn't the most spiritual thing he could have said, but it worked)

The NEXT Sunday, Gene showed up with his wife and 3 kids, gave his life to Jesus, and volunteered to be a bus captain, AND to be the primary mechanic for our fleet of buses. Forty years later, I see him on Facebook still telling people about Jesus.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
