They have a Cartoon Network show that is ENTIRELY dedicated to stupid "Dude, What would Happen" questions named exactly what I have in quotes in this sentence. For some stupid reason Cartoon Network decided to get into "reality TV" type stuff.

The "you can't find that on a map" argument used by both sides needs to retire. On a political debate forum I'm on, an extreme right-wing reactionary (who gets no support from the other conservatives, who actually bring good arguments) tried arguing that Uganda wasn't important because supposedly nobody could find it on a map.

That's not the way the phrase is typically used. It is an inference that the person on the other side has no clue what he/she is talking about, and so should shut up. While it is often hurled as an unfounded accusation, people who don't know what they're talking about should, in fact, shut their cake hole.

I'd care more about whether a president accepted responsibility for starting a war, which resulted in significant and justifiable outrage in the world community. A geographic mistake in a speech is fairly insignificant in comparison.

Dead soldiers and civilians and countless maimed is something that truly calls for sincere contrition. Maybe Bush offered something like that, I truly don't know.

If a speechwriter is a puppet master, then all presidents have been puppets. Obama is a puppet just like Dubya, but neither Bush 2 nor Obama were being controlled by their speech writers. You are naive and probably under the delusion that Obama is especially worse than any other president. At least he didn't try to massage Angela Merkel's shoulders, nor did he ever freeze when asked what sovereignty meant to him.

Presidential apologies will always be seen as calculating and insincere. You're setting yourself up for major disappointment with Romney. His term hasn't even started and already he's admitted his ideas are written on an Etch a Sketch.
