sadly.....ummm many of them are running on a script. And too many of them sound more than a little brainwashed.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case with many telemarketers.

You were referring to telemarketers, right?

God became man so that men might become gods.

      cf St. Athanasius, ca. 296-298 – 373

St. Irenaeus of Lyons stated that God "became what we are in order to make us what he is himself."
St. Clement of Alexandria says that "he who obeys the Lord and follows the prophecy given through him . . . becomes a god while still moving about in the flesh."
St. Cyril of Alexandria says that we "are called 'temples of God' and indeed 'gods', and so we are."
St. Basil the Great stated that "becoming a god" is the highest goal of all.
St. Gregory of Nazianzus implores us to "become gods for (God's) sake, since (God) became man for our sake."

Naaah. That's not what you are looking for at all. If it were, you would have been satisfied with what we've been telling you since you came to Tweb. I've been there and done that, and you still weren't satisfied.

But Christianity has a lot of enemies that accuse Christians of "Lying for Jesus," etc. They must think you have things to hide, and isn't that the most important---what the enemies of your Faith think? It sure seems like that's what you think when it comes to regarding the opinions of the enemies to my Faith.

No, OC ... it's like pulling teeth getting straight answers from you. Shall I test you by asking some questions to see if you give me the "straight up" answer the FIRST time, with no dodging?

But Christianity has a lot of enemies that accuse Christians of "Lying for Jesus," etc.
Hesitations 11:21 (CEV) Consider yourself blessed when you are falsely accused, and let it run off your back like water off a duck.

This is a game you're playing, OC --- I have nothing to hide, so they can think as they wish. GAME PLAYING, I tell you, and we need to NIP IT in the BUD!!!!!

funny our faith is the one who came up that that term that you all have turned into a useless cliche.

How come you never use THIS verse?

      Colossians 2:8
See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.

Isn't "human tradition" a closer synonym for "orthodoxy" than for "Mormonism"?

Well, let's see what the scholarly CEV says...

      Contemporary English Version (CEV)
Colossians 2:8 Don’t let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. These arguments may sound wise, but they are only human teachings. They come from the powers of this world[a] and not from Christ.

See there? It says that your teachings come from Joseph Smith and not from Christ!

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

      no.

Nice of you to try to change the topic again though.

It is saying that there are people out there who will use false teachings and philosophy to enslave you to themselves. Just like Joseph Smith did with the LDS church. He conned an entire group of people into following his false teachings and philosophy and tied it all to "family" and appeals to ego and greed (You can become like God!) and you are now captured and can't even see it. You fell for the oldest lie in the bible.

Does God know good and evil or not? Did Adam and Eve know good and evil from the beginning or not? What does it meant "their eyes were opened"? Is that a literal meaning in your mind?
