There's no need to take my word for it. As I said at the time, "#5 is particularly stupid since it implies that Pewe was writing in 1975 about a discovery (Dima) made in 1977." Anyone can quickly and easily confirm the date of Dima's discovery, and compare it with the citation date of Jorge's fabricated quote. Jorge's continued failure to do so demonstrates that he simply has no interest in the truth or accuracy of anything he writes.

Wattsr1, what I am trying to get to here is that there doesn't appear to be any biological evidence ruling out a common designer and so if I hold to a common designer for other reasons such as divine revelation or various argument for the existence of God then it would be fully rational of me to carry on with that belief.

When reading Jorge's article I noticed this for figure 3(the Barringer crater).



Looks like he was saying that the Barringer crater wasn't suspect to me.

He lists Figures 3 and 7 together, correct?

Figure 3 is of the Barringer crater (aka Meteor Crater), correct?

That is the only time he mentions Barringer crater in the article, correct?

And the only times he mentions Figure 3 is under the the picture and in the aforementioned "Figures 3 and 7 look like what most people expect to see upon hearing the word 'crater'," correct?

Now... does he mention Figure 7 other than under the picture and in the sentence where he links it to Figure 3 (Barringer crater)?

Take another look at Figure 7. That is what is known as a maars crater - resulting from an explosive expansion of magmatic gas or steam. Maars craters range in size from 60 - 2000 meters in diameter and from 10 - 200 meters in depth. By direct observation we know that such phenomena occur. However, there's more to identifying impact craters than this.

So, the crater Jorge associated with Barringer crater is an example of one that is not an impact crater. Jorge chose to link Barringer to a crater that was the result of a volcanic explosion.

This leaves it to the individual to decide for themselves whether or not they think Jorge did this to mislead readers by associating them. Or it was either through laziness or editing that his mentioning the Barringer is an example of a cosmic impact got left out of the article.

Of course with the latter explanation that leads you to the story of how they determined Barringer was indeed the result of an impact from space. Although that would be about the last thing someone who's trying to show most of the impact craters are geological in nature rather than impacts, would want to discuss.

I'll admit that I'm tired, and that a few details from the article may have not been noticed(I did read the whole thing, but my mind isn't exactly a "steel trap" like it used to be ). Anyway, it DID look like he was saying that they weren't suspect, until you dug up that little detail. I think I would like to see Jorge's response to this before saying anything else.

Should have realized you wouldn't use it because you probably thought it was a weapon and you prefer more of a pacifist approach. It's sort of a habit at rogue tech armaments & bait shop to design just about everything that way.
