So there's no difference between the god of the philosophers, the Islamic God, and the Christian God?
Anytime theology hits on something that is true, it is because it is from another discipline. One cannot have a field of knowledge built on something that essentially amounts to dressed-up agnosticism.

      Right.

      ## They're not unlikely. They are impossible - can't happen. Which is why, when they happen, they are worth cherishing. They would be of no importance, if they were rare; what's rare can happen easily enough.

      Uh, define "impossible".
“Atheism is simply a refusal to accept deities and those systems of worship that claim (in conflicting ways) to answer the “fundamental questions.” Most of us know that many of those so-called “fundamental questions,” like “Why are we here?” don’t have an answer beyond the laws of physics. Others like “What is our purpose?” must be answered by each person on their own, for there is no general answer. Others, like “How are we to live?” are answered far better by secular reason than by dogmatic adherence to outdated or even immoral religious strictures”. Jerry Coyne
