You liberals are so hilarious. If he released them you call him stupid. If he doesn't you say he was trying to hide something. You guys don't even care about the truth, you just want to find a way to destroy Trump, no matter what.
Actually this is not the true story. Up until it could no longer be denied, Trump Jr, and others lied and said there was no such communication nor meeting.

They should have reported the meeting on their security forms in the first place, the fact they they didn't is incriminating, and the fact that he decided to release the e-mails only after realizing that the media was on to them, and that the e-mails were about to be published, is also incriminating.
Kushner has had to amend his security clearance application yet again (third time now) because he’s suddenly “remembered” his meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya. Kushner had initially omitted all of his meetings with Russians from his questionnaire, which all applicants for national security clearances must fill out. It’s just astounding how many Trump associates have “forgotten” about their meetings with the Russians.

Here is an interesting article covering Breitbart's struggle to defend Trump in this case. A very funny and interesting read: https://www.theguardian.com/media/20...r-russia#img-1
"Yes. President Trump is a huge embarrassment. And it’s an embarrassment to evangelical Christianity that there appear to be so many who will celebrate precisely the aspects that I see Biblically as most lamentable and embarrassing." Southern Baptist leader Albert Mohler Jr.

As a reminder of the level of hypocrisy and projection these guys have, here's a Donald Trump Jr clip from June 2016 where his response to being asked about Russia leaking emails (the Russia collusion email he posted to twitter was earlier that month) he responds "It goes to show you their [the Dems] exact moral compass. They'll say anything to be able to win this. Time and time again, lie after lie... It's disgusting. It's so phony."

Guess there was a mirror behind the camera and he was talking about himself while giving that interview.

Whereas behind the scenes at Breitbart, their editors know the truth and that what they're feeding their gullible flock are lies.

According to a transcript of the conversation obtained by CNN, Kassam [Breitbart editor] said: “So like, this is straight up collusion. Right?”

Sparko, if there is some action which is improper in some way, then any extra information about that is indeed likely to be incriminating, one way or the other. The information available shows Trump Jr to indeed have engaged in some seriously weird stuff. He's guilty in that sense. (Not going to debate over whether it's legal/ethical/constitutional/whatever to give a label to the nature of the offense.)

So, yes, if he hides stuff, he's guilty of hiding stuff. If he makes false statements about connections (and that's now a matter of record) then he's guilty of making false statements. If he releases emails a matter of days after it becomes known that they are about to be revealed anyway, then yes, of course you have to suspect that a major part of why they are being released. This ought to be obvious. It isn't some irrational "liberal" campaign that is being unfair to Trump Jr.

It's incredible to me so many folks in the USA are so blaze about attempts from foreign powers to distort and undermine your democratic processes, or even to deny that that's happening. It's surreal.

Breitbart and the Trumps are birds of a feather, all bare-faced liars when it suits their purpose.

                    From your link:

                    Source: The Independent

Kassam, a former chief advisor to Nigel Farage, told The Independent his private remark was taken out of context.

“The slack message was not a statement that I was making. It was taken out of context by Oliver Darcy [the CNN journalist]."

He added: "If I were to say the comment to you over the phone, it would be in a sarcastic tone posed as a question, but he wanted to read into it what he could.”

Of course this relevant detail is buried 7-paragraphs below the headline because news organizations know that low-info morons like you don't read beyond the first few paragraphs.

But I do love how you've been suckered by another fake news story.

I'm not blasé about it - it's the nature of the beast. I'd be more surprised if foreign powers didn't try to influence them in some way. What's surreal is that those most up in arms about it don't seem to care one whit that our former president openly tried to influence elections in Great Britain and Israel, or that the Ukrainian government seems to have been trying to help the Hillary campaign. In any case, I doubt the outcome was changed due to such attempts. Trump was a bad candidate; so was HRC. The Russians hardly had an impact on Hillary's obsessive secrecy, Trump's misogyny or populist anti-establishment anger.

The Russian lawyer who penetrated Donald Trump’s inner circle was initially cleared into the United States by the Justice Department under “extraordinary circumstances” before she embarked on a lobbying campaign last year that ensnared the president’s eldest son, members of Congress, journalists and State Department officials, according to court and Justice Department documents and interviews.

This revelation means it was the Obama Justice Department that enabled the newest and most intriguing figure in the Russia-Trump investigation to enter the country without a visa.

It sounds like this woman really got around and met with not only Junior but "members of Congress, journalists, and State Department officials".

It begs the question: Why did the Obama administration let her in the country?
