      My Big Bad Beading Thread

I just started learning beading and taken some classes through Beads Gone Wild, but those classes and materials are way too expensive for me right now. So I joined the simplybeadskitclub.com site which has a membership and you get one beading kit a month for reasonable, and learning that way. I am just now getting around to doing them, so I will post some pics of what I have made. I have learned some simple techniques pretty quickly though.

Re: My Big Bad Beading Thread

simplybeadskitclub.jpgI wanted to learn beading and jewelry. Like I needed another hobby right? Well I took a few classes locally and learned some really neat stuff, but it was pretty expensive... only top quality supplies and the like, which I really don't need when I am just learning. I mean just the wire (sterling silver) was like $50. The classes were about $40 and then you spent another $100 in supplies... nope, can't afford that right now. So I joined the Simply Beads Craft Club which for about $20/month sends you one project a month with all the supplies you need. Now, it is cheap stuff, but it is great for learning. Below are some things I have made with their kits, and I do feel a lot more confident to try something on my own when I get time. Right now, I barely have time for the kits.

      Awesome, I love the butterflies.

When you are ready to do one on your own, I'd like to recommend Artbeads.com. I get my supplies there, and have never been disappointed in the quality. They have good prices and a good selection.

Yep, now that the tunics are done I have forty or fifty crosses to make.

      Matthew 8:26-27

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
