Isn't it true that every time you whine "Joseph Smith attacked MY church FIRST! Waaaah!"
it's YOU who is whining? (Disclaimer: The "Waaaah!" part may not have been an exact quote)
I hope so: I hope they are seeing how fallacious, petty, malicious, and hypocritical (a Baptist preacher, no less) SOME anti-LDS people can be.No, Jeff... you can't help yourself. And you're helping the lurkers see PLENTY!

religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,

Statement of fact, Jeff. And he was a liar and a false prophet, so I really don't take it on a personal level.
You do that so well.Waaaah!"
Well, yeah, why should you start NOW?(Disclaimer: The "Waaaah!" part may not have been an exact quote)
You REALLY can't help yourself, can you! In your goofy accusations, you're just doing more whining!I hope so: I hope they are seeing how fallacious, petty, malicious, and hypocritical (a Baptist preacher, no less) SOME anti-LDS people can be.
Let's see it again in German....

Re: Jesus questions for mormons
That is classic hypocrisy. It should be the dictionary definition's entry for it.
"When you LDS have a problem with what we antis say, it's whining, but when we antis have a problem with something one of you LDS said, it's 'statement of fact.' "
Instead of "have a Snickers" I think in your case we should tell you to have some Doubleminded....er, Doublemint Gum."I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."
-C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209).

Well, the way you guys redefine terms, that should work!

Is it NOT a statement of fact, Jeff, that your "prophet" declared all other religions apostate?"When you LDS have a problem with what we antis say, it's whining, but when we antis have a problem with something one of you LDS said, it's 'statement of fact.' "
Doubleminded? Ever since I came to the conclusion that Joseph Smith is a false prophet, and the Book of Mormon is a work of fiction, I haven't wavered a single bit, Jeff.Instead of "have a Snickers" I think in your case we should tell you to have some Doubleminded....er, Doublemint Gum.

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

Re: Jesus questions for mormons
so just God-LIKE and not actually a God. OK. Jeff seems to disagree with you (and apparently himself) now.
so is he a God or just God-Like?The Father is not conjoined with the Son in their essence, more accurately. But they are ONE God in every other conceivable and inconceivable manner--except being of the one essence as essence is defined by the creeds.
You seem to be disagreeing with your first statement above now.
Translation: "oops, Sparko found another gaping hole in the LDS theology. I better ignore it and insult him instead"That's a clown question, bro. And you are the clown.
OC, the Father in LDS theology doesn't do squat, other than give birth to our spirits and do P.A. announcements out of the clouds once in a while. Jesus did everything else. He was Jehovah in the OT. He was the Creator who made everything. He is the Judge who judges everyone. He is the Savior who saves everyone.

Re: Jesus questions for mormons
Wrong yet again. (Do you ever get tired of being wrong so frequently?)
OC spelled it out in the very post you were mocking: "from before the foundation of the earth"
That is not the Old-Testament era, FYI. Both OC and I agree with the LDS doctrine on this.
Oops, Sparko failed to find yet another hole in the reasoning he's basing his idiotic shenanigans on.Last edited by nrajeff; June 15th 2012 at 01:58 PM.
