Re: are OC and Jeff going to hell?
Then you are not normal. Normal people do NOT treat people they like the way you treat "us guys" here. Maybe you have "issues" where you confuse your sadistic treatment of others as a manifestation of your fondness for them. But that is not normal. If I treated you the way you treat OC and me, I could not honestly say that I like you.
You are not drafted into being here. You are free to leave if you want, correct? Or is TWEB a totalitarian state like East Berlin used to be, where you are not allowed to leave?and I am kinda chained here. I am a department head (as is BTC) for the LDS section.
Life is not always gonna be fun, plus I have learned a lot about people and their behavior during my stay here. Even if what I have learned is a cause for disappointment, it's still learning, and possibly of some worth. But you don't seem to be having fun.
Not everyone who fights in a war was drafted. So unlike a war, which this is not, you are not drafted into the LDS section.
To the contrary--when I got here, I was hoping this would be a place where people discussed things in an acrimony-free way. I didn't realize what a jerk-fest this place was until after some time had passed, and I got to know the players on the playground. Normal people don't like being angry, any more than normal people like people who call them and their beliefs various derogatory things on a daily basis. If you guys would clean up your act and start acting like real Christians should--with some self-DISCIPLINE, as disciples should have as their goal--I PROMISE you I would happy.I think the real reason you stick around is that you enjoy being angry, and like to feel persecuted.
Your logic could lead to the fallacious conclusion that the garbage man actually likes garbage, and the septic pumper actually likes sewage, because no one is forcing them to do what they do, and they don't quit their jobs.
No one is forcing you to be meaner to people....correct? So it's not as if you're being PUSHED to do so--you make the conscious CHOICE to be even meaner. So you act out, trying to push people into being even meaner to you
If your assumption had merit, then logic would dictate that you be NICER to the pro-LDS, not meaner...unless you ENJOY making people feel more persecuted, and thus continue to give them what it is that you SAY they are here for., so you can feel better and more persecuted.
Doesn't that conclusion contradict your earlier claim that I WANT to STICK AROUND because I enjoy being angry? If your latest hypothesis is true, then once my "ultimate goal" is achieved, then won't my enjoyment cease?Your ultimate goal is probably to get yourself banned so you can pat yourself on the back and claim that we couldn't take the "truth" and had to get rid of you.
Seems YOU are in a cult of your own--a cult where you get off by putting others down, maliciously mocking them and their faith. Perhaps it assuages some guilt you feel for something in your past, or it helps you get through your daily doubts that you have in your own church's correctness. The fact is, though Jeff, that you belong to a cult,
And your continued behavior is proof that you fall into that group. How many times have you admitted that your beliefs are wrong? Q.E.D.Nobody wants to accept that they are wrong."I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."
-C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209).

Joseph is not saying that anyone is actually "justified" by the law of "works". He is saying that "if God were to justify man by the law of works, then rewards would be seen as payment for debt. But rewards are NOT a payment for debt, and God does not justify man by the law of works.
Mosiah 2:24
24 And secondly, he doth require that ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bless you; and therefore he hath paid [rewarded] you. And ye are still indebted unto him, and are, and will be, forever and ever; therefore, of what have ye to boast?"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

Thanks, Jeff. Exactly the "class" and "elegance" I would expect from you. Like you accused Sparko and I of the "Jeff fa fa fa" thing.
Meanwhile, while you're doing all your prissy DramaQueen stuff and the stupid "PTSD" thing, you still continue to be a screwup. Good job!

Not so much OC. Mostly you. Unfortunately, you have a far greater negative impact on OC than he has a positive impact on you. OC is, in my opinion, MUCH easier to deal with when you're not breathing your dragon breath on this forum.

I think the "cancer" is the bitterness in your heart, Jeff. You have a root of bitterness that flares up with the least little provocation. It is MY opinion that OC's faith is genuine and deep, but yours is "head knowledge" and "surface".This forum is in late-stage metastatic cancer, and all you see and disapprove of is a couple of cells that were late-comers to the patient's body.

Re: are OC and Jeff going to hell?
well since you claim you are just treating us like we treat you, I guess that means you don't like us, eh?
Sorry to hear that, Jeff, but when you are not acting like a pedantic jerk, you are actually a pretty likeable guy. I forgive you.
apparently it is, since you are still here too.You are not drafted into being here. You are free to leave if you want, correct? Or is TWEB a totalitarian state like East Berlin used to be, where you are not allowed to leave?

apparently, according to your motivations for acting like a jerk, you have learned to become us. How's that feel?Life is not always gonna be fun, plus I have learned a lot about people and their behavior during my stay here. Even if what I have learned is a cause for disappointment, it's still learning, and possibly of some worth.
ah so when you got here you expected a forum where everyone would agree with you and then you found out that was not the case and you got upset. To the contrary--when I got here, I was hoping this would be a place where people discussed things in an acrimony-free way. I didn't realize what a jerk-fest this place was until after some time had passed, and I got to know the players on the playground. you are the one who seems the seeker of persecution Jeff.Your logic could lead to the fallacious conclusion that the garbage man actually likes garbage, and the septic pumper actually likes sewage, because no one is forcing them to do what they do, and they don't quit their jobs.
I haven't been mean to you. I just want to have a discussion and all I get from you and OC are accusations of mocking and being an anti.No one is forcing you to be meaner to people....correct? So it's not as if you're being PUSHED to do so--you make the conscious CHOICE to be even meaner.
funny but I get along fine with the OTHER pro-LDS on this board, there seems to be only 4 who don't seem to get along with us: you, OC, Jo, and Frank. If your assumption had merit, then logic would dictate that you be NICER to the pro-LDS, not meaner...unless you ENJOY making people feel more persecuted, and thus continue to give them what it is that you SAY they are here for.
nah, cuz then you can move on to another site and start over claiming how mean twebbers were to you.Doesn't that conclusion contradict your earlier claim that I WANT to STICK AROUND because I enjoy being angry? If your latest hypothesis is true, then once my "ultimate goal" is achieved, then won't my enjoyment cease?
eh?Seems YOU are in a cult of your own--a cult where you get off by putting others down, maliciously mocking them and their faith. Perhaps it assuages some guilt you feel for something in your past, or it helps you get through your daily doubts that you have in your own church's correctness.
I have changed several of my beliefs since I have become a Christian and since joining Tweb. and when I am wrong, I freely admit it. It's not a big deal jeff, you should try it sometime. And your continued behavior is proof that you fall into that group. How many times have you admitted that your beliefs are wrong? Q.E.D.
