              Cora's a cool name; I don't think I've ever heard it before.

You don't remember Cora Beth from the Walton's?

Cora was the name of the Maxwell House lady in the commercials from the 1970s and played by Margaret Hamilton (most famous for playing the Wicked Witch of the West in the Wizard of Oz)

There are a couple of people around with the name, but it's pretty rare. My wife is into older names and often has to be reined in when they get a little out there. With our first, she had suggested Adelaide.

Your post made me remember that Crazy Cora is the lady in Quigley Down Under. I'm going to use that one someday.

We were really struggling with the middle name. My eldest has used Rosie/Rosetta as go-to names for toys and things. Rose is a bit more sophisticated but close enough she feels she played a part in the naming. Two birds with one stone.
