Do Muslims believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the SAVIOR?
Question is currently open to anyone who would like to give their answer.

"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."
-C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209).

Re: Do Muslims believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the SAVIOR?
They believe that Jesus was just a prophet like any earlier one. Mohammed was the "seal of the prophets", and therefore the greatest one. Oddly enough this "seal" was likely a mole on his back that was rather large(or a birth mark). Maybe you should have asked this question in the Islam section though.

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

Re: Do Muslims believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the SAVIOR?
So if someone were to assert that Muslims believe that Jesus is the Messiah, what would you say in response to that person--that their understanding of Islam was not very good?
Maybe, but someone in this forum stated:Maybe you should have asked this question in the Islam section though.
"How exactly are LDS "obviously Christian"? Is it that they believe that Jesus is the Messiah? Muslims believe He is too..." so I decided to ask here. And I think OC was correct--you were a good candidate to answer it."I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."

Muslims refer to Jesus as the 'messiah', calling him 'Isa Al-Masih'

Re: Do Muslims believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the SAVIOR?
So Muslims define "Jesus is the Messiah" as....?
"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."
-C.S. Lewis (Collected Letters Vol. 3 p. 209).

Re: Do Muslims believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the SAVIOR?
Basically to them it means that He was just a prophet. They take Messiah to it's extreme literal interpretation of the original Hebrew of the word which roughly translates as "anointed". Of course this is completely contradictory to everything we know about the promised Messiah for the Jews, but they don't seem to understand that.
