How much younger might a woman typically date, if she dated younger? How much younger would you be willing to date (if or assuming you were/are dating)?

As long as he is 21 (18 might be legal but 21 is much safer) and willing, it's up to the couple.
Now, more than 15 - 20 years difference and you are probably looking at other issues that will arise - but as long as both are competent and informed, it's up to them.
Practically speaking, 25 - 30 or more and you are almost definitely looking at a very unequal relationship. Really stupid but as long as we're talking about grown ups living in a free country means being free to be idiots.
One caveat - the instant competence is in question then it is NOT okay and others should intervene for the exact same reason we don't allow children to be married or engaged in adult relationships.

At my age (almost 30), I don't think I would date a younger man. Perhaps by a year or so but that would be it. My husband is 3 years older.

I was asked out by a man 10 years younger than me, not so long ago and I really felt like a cougar when I went out for a coffee with him. It was the first time I went out with someone after the death of my husband, so it was and enormous step anyway. Let alone finding out he was so much younger. First and last time for me, he was a great guy, but I didn't like the age difference.
