      Question for LDS Apologists

Why is it that I see LDS apologists regularly citing the continued embodied existence of the Son as a point of contention between more traditional Christians and Latter-day Saints? All traditional Christian groups that I know of teach the continued embodiment of the Word as a fundamental point of Christian faith. For myself as an Eastern Orthodox Christian, is it absolutely required, because if Christ did not remain Incarnate, then it is impossible for man to be divinized by union with Christ.
God became man so that man might become god. -St. Athanasius of Alexandria

      2 Tim 2:1-2

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

Perhaps you could provide a few examples of what you are talking about.
"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."

      Re: Question for LDS Apologists

I don't recall the LDS ever accusing Christians of not believing in the continued incarnation of Christ.
