I think this would count as women wearing men's clothing and should not be done. IMO.

Women do wear head coverings. In my experience, they are lacey while men's are solid.

In Orthodox households, women cover up their hair entirely, only allowing their husbands to see their real hair.
Micah 6:6. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High G-d? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? 7. Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8. He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your G-d.

If I wear one, it is usually a scarf during service or a holiday celebration at synagogue. I don't usually though. I want to get more scarves to wear like that, and may wear them more often when I do. There are some really cute ways of wearing scarves that I have seen on youtube. I know some women who wear those pearl bead hats that look similar to a loose lace kippah in shape.

Yes, I have been informed by Jews that wigs are very popular with Jewish women.

Also, only married women are required to cover their hair.

      Re: one more thing

I wear a kippah to shul for services. I don't wear them for social events. The two I have are very feminine (they were made especially for a woman). I put them on my husband to see what they looked like and they look silly, confirming their "girly" qualities. None of the women in my community cover all their hair but some do wear kippot.

      Re: one more thing

I don't care for it myself. If a woman wants to cover her head, I would much prefer to see nice hats.
Why copy what the men do?
