  • Is Russiagate Really Hillarygate?

Looks like Mueller supposed to investigate Dems too!!! That would be great!

Special Counsel Mueller has been given a broad charge and no deadline -- a formula for trouble. He is supposed to “investigate Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election.” Given the many accounts of Russian contacts of Trump campaign officials and hangers-on, Mueller must follow these leads, which apparently have lead nowhere over a nine month investigation as reported even by Trump unfriendly sources like CNN. Mueller, therefore, should not require much time to rule out coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia state actors.
Mueller must also conduct an investigation which is perceived as fair to both sides. On the Clinton/Democratic side, there are a number of unanswered questions related to Russian electoral intervention. Among them is the question of whether the “wiped clean” Clinton e-mails are in Russian hands (as asserted by the Steele dossier), whether the tarmac meeting of Bill Clinton and the Attorney General quashed the investigation of Hillary’s e-mails, and whether the Clintons and Russian uranium interests engaged in quid pro quo and “pay to play” operations.

The most important unanswered question is whether the Clinton campaign funded the Orbis Trump smear campaign and did they understand the campaign could be conducted by Russian intelligence?

The Fusion-Steele matter is explosive because it suggests that Russia’s most damaging intervention in the 2016 campaign may have been its creation of the Steele Dossier, remarkably paid for by the Clinton campaign! If so, the Clinton campaign (not Trump) was the prime sponsor of Russia’s intervention in the 2016 election.

Looks like another 'Trump is trapped, haha!!!' going to backfire in 3, 2, 1...

    Do it.

Robert Mueller's is allowed to look into "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation" which means if he finds money coming from Russia that went into the Clinton camp, he is allowed to probe further and determine if a crime was committed. I don't care if it's a Democrat, or a Republican, prosecute anybody that is selling out the country for personal gain. Although, in such a case Mueller would have to hire additional staff, or another council might be appointed.

My hunch is that if there was any pay for play, it was in Trumps camp given his history of dealings with oligarchs - in fact, I suspect it.

So many starting points with Clintons, should just start with Russia-uranium-Clintons scandal!!

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.

        LOL. You wish.

While I hate Hillary and blame her for the democrats losing and think she is incredibly corrupt and unprincipled and one of the worst candidates the Dems have ever run and would love to see her jailed, I think you're just dreaming here Demi. It's typical Trumpist deflection: "But what about Hillary?" Get over it, Hillary is old news and mostly out of politics now (hopefully for good).

You can't save Trump and his scandal-ridden family from themselves and their dozens of crimes by trying to focus on Hillary, it's not going to work. Trump's going to go down and it's going to be great. If Hillary goes down too that'll be the icing on the cake, but not only will I not hold my breath for that, I'll say right now that it's never going to happen.

And the Russia-Uranium "scandal" seriously? Don't waste our time with that. A Canadian company was bought by Russia. It had almost zero whatsoever to do with Hillary.

If there was any "pay for play" between the Clinton's and Russia, Russia would have already included it in the anti-Clinton material being fed to the Trump's. OTOH there's a heap of material emerging about the Trump's dealings with top Russians including those very close to Putin...e.g. the proposed Trump Tower Moscow project.

              Read NYT article, dumbass.

Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Mr. Clinton’s wife, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Can't tell if dishonest or just stupid. Many such cases!!!

For one thing troll, it was a Canadian company, and it involved only 11% of U.S. uranium, none of which can leave the country, and yes, 9 U.S. agencies had to approve the deal and the President had to sign off on it. Its a canard, and I can tell you're dishonest and probably stupid as well.
