A Glory Seed Devotional
Heart Targets…

I don’t really know how to tell you this and you may not want to hear it so I am just going to be blunt. You have a target etched on your heart and there are not-so-good-forces zeroing in on it! You see blue skies; they want you to see dark skies. You may experience smooth sailing; they want you to experience hurricane force winds and breaker waves. You may be smiling; they want you to be crying. You may be enjoying the warm rays of sunshine; they want you to feel the cold fingers of death.

I wish I could give you more details on how you will be targeted but I can’t but what I can tell you is what the Apostle Peter told me, “Keep your mind clear, and be alert. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion as he looks for someone to devour.” (1 Peter 5:8 GW)

Another thing I can do for you, and perhaps this is the most important thing we can do for each other (because I have a target on my heart too) is to stop for a few seconds and prayer for each other. After all Jesus prays for us and should we not follow his example?

Our Father in heaven “…let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you. For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.” (Psalms 5:11-12 ESV) AMEN! (Please feel free to personalize your prayer.)

Then after saying, AMEN read carefully and faithfully these words of wisdom and words of experience from our mutual friend, the Apostle Peter. “Be firm in the faith and resist him, knowing that other believers throughout the world are going through the same kind of suffering. God, who shows you his kindness and who has called you through Christ Jesus to his eternal glory, will restore you, strengthen you, make you strong, and support you as you suffer for a little while. Power belongs to him forever.” (1 Peter 5:9-11 GW)

And one last thought – don’t just read the words – BELIEVE the words.
