Male - ChristianDishonored - Best game idea I've seen in awhile
I've heard the title of this game in the past but just now discovered what it's actually about. What it's actually about is being awesome.
In a nutshell, the game is the spiritual successor of Thief - you are an assassin in a steampunk universe. But unlike Thief, you have supernatural abilities, including teleportation, conjuring whirlwinds, and even possession of human and animal bodies. The protagonist is very mobile and gameplay is very fluid and fast paced if you so choose to be. Also similar to Thief are the guards who mutter to themselves, whistle, talk to each other, etc which was a feature that gave the game verisimilitude and encouraged immersion. The long and short of it is that if you loved Thief, you'll adore this game. The stealth aspect of Thief married to the fluidity and mobility of, say, Assassin's Creed or Mirror's Edge is a match made in Heaven. I mean, you COULD play the game murdering everybody and being very loud and noisy if you wish, but you'd be playing the game very, very wrong. In my opinion, of course.
Keep a look out. It's set to release this October.

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

What platform? Sounds right up my alley.

Dishonored released its debut trailer, but it's questionable whether or not I'll get modded for posting it.

Re: Dishonored - Best game idea I've seen in awhile
It's gonna suck.
"Years ago, I mean decades ago, I read a quote about politicians performing quid pro quo favors for campaign cash, and whether or not we could prove it. The guy who was quoted opined that it was difficult to determine. He noted that in many cases, the payoff might not take the form of votes on legislative action -- those might be detectable, and so are avoided -- but could take subtler forms, like the question that is never asked at a hearing.
The media's doing a terrific job of not asking questions it doesn't want to know the answer to. It doesn't ask these questions in bulk, and the great volume of questions it doesn't ask makes it cheap to not ask questions.
And it passes these savings on to you, the customer." Ace

I'm the type of guy that runs wherever i want and kill anyone that even looks at me the wrong way. Games that involve stealth really hurt me on the inside. My patience level is almost nonexistent. You should have seen me play Assassins Creed. Not pretty. This game sounds very interesting though. Everyone plays games different. I might have to check it out.
