What I don't get, though, is why freedom-loving Australians would let the wankers in your govt. take away your right to own the guns of your choice, and the right to take them out in public where they could come in handy if a psycho started attacking people with a sword or gun.

But in the end, you guys are all right in my book because you gave the world AC/DC.

We still have the right to own a gun. Not as many of us are as obsessed with guns as you guys are. We appear to have fewer psychos too who like to kill people in large numbers in public. Not none, but seemingly a lot fewer. Our psychos (being laid back and all) would rather stay home and watch the footie.

I have no idea. I know people with shotguns, not sure of their function. I'll look it up for you if you like, really it's not a huge issue here except for the extreme right wing (and I mean extreme!) We don't measure our freedom in terms of rounds per minute or potential number of people we can kill before reloading. Odd, aren't we?
