Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
    Coal, diamonds, you, and God…
    Shalom!

Have you ever received a lump of coal as a Christmas present? I have, well maybe not a real lump of coal. Well maybe I never really received one, but I’ve been threatened on more than one occasion to be given one. You know of course a piece of coal is a diamond before it has come into its time, don’t you? I remember as a kid watching an episode of Superman (the black and white version) and in this episode Superman took a lump of coal and with his super strength squeezed it into a big diamond.

You probably have already figured out where I am going next. That’s right, when we give our lump-of-coal-lives to God under the pressure of His love He squeezes us until we become diamonds. I am not sure about a lump of coal under pressure, but when God puts His Love Squeeze on us there are times when it can and does get painful. Yet at the same time the outcome far outweighs the pain. But there is something more wonderful happens at the same time Paul explains. “I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.” (Ephesians 1:18, NLT, emphasis mine)

When we give our lives to God somehow in the great mystery of God we become Invaluable, Priceless adding to God’s riches. No matter what your physical condition is, whether you are fit as a fiddle a complete invalid or anything in between when you gave your life or when you give your life to God you become the finest out-of-this-world cut diamond you possibly can be. While it’s true when you look in a mirror you’ll see the same ole you but when God scrapes the final layer of coal away your brilliance, beauty, and value will shine for all eternity!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
