As if that would lessen the work. Solar energy is more akin to a stimulant. Other nutrients/chemicals are necessary to create energy along with the sun, no different from what plants do. Photosynthesis doesn't just work with the sun alone (otherwise, you'd have crisped plants). We'd still need other means of nutrition to allow sun rays to do it's job (and most likely, an extremely large volume of epidermis, yikes.... ). Or would you rather prefer a construct of Reality where solar energy is the sole form of energy in said construct for the sake of sparing the mortals of said construct the painful labor of harvesting food?

The phenomena of creations are not necessarily rigged or confined to Spartan efficiencies or conveniences.

Exhibit 1 for why I wouldn't want the power. After the first act, I'd probably be trying to fix those.

Re: If you could God for a day what would your first acts be

The OP pre-supposes that G-d messed up when creating the universe. There is nothing that one of His creations could do, to create any better. We have enough to do with the Creation that we already have.
Micah 6:6. With what shall I come before the Lord, bow before the Most High G-d? Shall I come before Him with burnt offerings, with yearling calves? 7. Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with myriad streams of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8. He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord demands of you; but to do justice, to love loving-kindness, and to walk discreetly with your G-d.

The presupposition is usually what entails said question, and I agree with your statement.

However, this question is more fun to answer when asked in a non-serious tone (case in point, a bar conversation), and I am willing to grant that the OP perhaps had a bit of that. A question for a bit of un. But I suppose that such a tone would not have been appropriate in this section, after all... we discuss theology... seriously! ^^

Just at a very start-- Something needs to be done about China. Everything, the way of life--environment, Christians, Muslems, people trying old ways--trapped under government. Can n o t solve problems. Yet.
ret of world tangled up with coming collapse. Yes, hard to suppose what to do and not _hurt_ so many or frighten rest: humans outside. At least wake up world to more values than money stocks in China mess.
And--just force rulers, media to confront another way to do nuclear reactors. Hardly any talk and zero funding for a thorium. The old industry keeps U, Plutonium, from the Bomb project. No wonder always a curse. Thorium doesn't lend to bad weapons. And can be used to nuclear change wstes so relatively harmless for disposal, not so bad if spilled or stolen, or in air, water, Chernobyl, Japan etc. OK.-- a way out.

The problem with using God's power for a day to remove an evil is that people will still complain just as much to make up for it. All you've done is deprived others the opportunity to overcome it with a good and become stronger for it.

      Well, just for funsies then.

Hmmm...well George Burns had a good one, the avacado pit is too big. I'd also make pine trees turn color when the seasons change. How about humans having a better sense of what animals are feeling or thinking, maybe empathic?

;-) As to any acts performed, just let IT (the Universe) BE, for it is unfolding as intended.
My first act would be to tell people like you that "Honey, You ain't me. Never will be."

      I didn't realize "God" was a verb.

I always viewed that particular phrase as a request ... and then remember the verses that say "By the standard you judge others will you be judged." Scary thought.
