Are you seeing a slanted reporting event?
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8)

A bit, but to be fair the article was pretty decent - that was the only thing that stood out.
"He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose." - Jim Elliot

      Matthew 8:26-27

He replied, "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
The men were amazed and asked, "What kind of man is this this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"

Seems that the Kiss-In counter protest was a bit of a bust:

      Chick-fil-A kiss-in is hit-or-missin'

By mid-afternoon, nearly 14,000 Facebook users had subscribed to the “National Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A” event — a number that pales in comparison to the some 630,000 who subscribed to Wednesday’s “appreciation day” — while some users posted photos on the event page of men kissing men and women kissing women.

      Los Angeles:
Chick-fil-A 'Kiss in' protest small compared to appreciation day

Huge crowds turned out Wednesday in a show of support for company President Dan Cathy, who ignited a national debate by publicly expressing his opposition to same-sex marriage. Critics have also said the company supports causes harmful to gays and lesbians.

The scene on Friday was much quieter at locations across the Southland.

Kiss-In Protest Held at Dallas Chick-fil-A

Hundreds of thousands of Texans jammed Chick-fil-As on Wednesday to show support for the company's president, who said in an interview that the company was "guilty as charged" for backing "the biblical definition of a family."

About a dozen couples showed showed up at the Central Expressway location to take pictures kissing with the Chick-fil-A sign in the background.

      Chicago:
‘Kiss-in’ a mild response to Chick-fil-A appreciation day

There was a lot of snackin’ but no smoochin’ Friday evening at the Chick-fil-A restaurant in Schaumburg, which like others across the country had readied for “National Same-Sex Kiss Day.”

Circulated on Facebook and Twitter, the “kiss in” was meant to be a counter to Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee’s call for Chick-fil-A “appreciation day” on Wednesday. That drew huge crowds to restaurants in Schaumburg, Lombard and Wheaton, among others, to support restaurant President Dan Cathy’s opposition to same-sex marriage.

      Chick-fil-A "Kiss-in" May Be A Miss

Protestors of Chick-fil-A held a kiss in at the Chicago restaurant, but the numbers were less than expected

But the event wasn't nearly as successful as Wednesday's Appreciation Day, where hundreds lined up to show their support.

      Southern California:
REGION: 'Kiss-in' fairly quiet at Chick-fil-A stores in North County

Gay rights activists were kissing at Chick-fil-A stores across the country Friday, though there appeared to be relatively little organized same-sex smooching at the company's North County restaurants.

The so-called "kiss-in" Friday was two days after Chick-fil-A set a sales record when customers flocked to the restaurants to show support for the fast-food chain president's opposition to gay marriage.

San Diego television stations reported that the company's stores on Sports Arena Boulevard and in Point Loma had several dozen protestors show up en masse to participate in the kiss-in, some carrying signs and waving rainbow flags.

At the stores in San Marcos and Oceanside, however, any turnout was sporadic or apparently small enough that it didn't cause a stir.

Chick-fil-A 'Kiss-In' not a big draw in Chattanooga

Hundreds of people showed up at the Chick-fil-A on Gunbarrel Road on Wednesday for Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, but only a handful of people visited the restaurant Friday night for a "Kiss-In," part of National Same-Sex Kiss Day.

      Minneapolis:
      Chick-fil-A 'kiss-in' protest bypasses Minnesota

Gay marriage supporters staged "kiss-in" demonstrations Friday at Chick-fil-A restaurants across the nation, but that part of the protest movement bypassed Minnesota.

      ...

There are no full-fledged Chick-fil-A stores in the state, only Chick-fil-A Express counters in three institutional settings in the state, including the University of Minnesota's student union in Minneapolis.

That store experienced no picketing or outbreaks of same-sex kissing Friday, at least not between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. while the food court was open. Instead the U's Chick-fil-A saw its typical summertime lunch crowd, made up mainly of visiting teenagers and their parents.

Hundreds of people packed Burlington Mall’s Chick-fil-A on Wednesday for Chick-fil-A *Appreciation Day, organized by former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. Patrons waited in long lines to express their support for Cathy and his chain, as well as to decry *Menino’s statements.

I couldn't figure out how they thought the would garner public support by FLAUNTING something most of us disagree with. I mean... I think even some of those who "support" gay marriage don't REALLY want it "in their face".

I predict a "sour grapes" response like "we are better than those Christians, so we didn't disrupt businesses with our protests" or something like that.

More evidence that the great counter protest was a bust. From the New York Post:

Chicken lips are scarce: Great gay kiss-off lays a gigantic egg

This was billed as the greatest protest since Occupy Wall Street. Thousands of scantily clad gay men and lesbians said they’d lock lips in a coast-to-coast red-hot make-out session.

They were to blast anti-gay-marriage comments made by Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy. But gays preferred staying home to watch “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Tumbleweeds could have rolled through the Paramus Park Mall in New Jersey yesterday as a symbol for the lack of stamina in the national kissing campaign.

From Georgia to California, protests drew yawns, not saliva.

I was gonna go to Paramus Park Friday to eat at Chick-Fil-A to show my solidarity.

      Guess I didn't need to.

My thoughts exactly. I get tired of my radical-liberal friends and their passive-aggressive facebook posts.

I'm pretty sure that not one of them made the 200 mi round trip to Chick-Fil-A like I did on Wednesday. They need to sit down and drink a nice cup of SHUT UP ALREADY.

My Executive Assistant at my last job was an atheist lesbian Jew. She never missed an opportunity to make a comment "in your face" like... years ago, when I was setting up a printer, I needed a bi-directional parallel cable, and she handed me a serial cable. She asked what the difference was, and I explained it, so she had to smile and snark, "So, a Parallel Cable goes BOTH WAYS, huh?" At THAT time, I didn't know she was a lesbian, and didn't really get the "snark"...

She never missed an opportunity to throw a little gay or lesbian innuendo in wherever it would, in her mind, "fit".

It was actually the first time I ever had to work in a close relationship with a gay or lesbian person, so it was quite a learning experience for me. For the most part, she was a good honest person with a good heart, but she had a real problem with "Jesus" and "Crosses" and "Christmas" and traditional values.

K, I kinda cringe at "traditional values," but the rest of that sounds legit.

The biggest problem I have with these people, and I used to not group people as "liberal/radical/progressive," but I no longer know how to properly identify with them, is how they advocate tolerance...except when it comes to dominant religions such as Christianity. Oh, and Islam is okay, except when it's actually practiced such as overseas where it is state law.

They've just taken too much of that hegemony stuff to the head. I can't wait to leave academia and its groupthink.

It's kinda like the King James Bible -- It was good enough for Paul and Silas!!!!

This is a fair warning to those sarcastically impaired the preceding text was written in jest.

Ate at Chick-fil-A again today. Large nuggets, waffle fries, cookies and cream shake.

Business was brisk but nowhere near August 1 levels.
