Touchdown
The Mars Curiosity Rover, which will study Martian climate, geology and possible biosignatures left the time that Mars was much more habitable, landed safely on August 6. The rover weighs approximately one ton -- meaning that the people who figured out how to get it on Mars in one working piece deserve crazy science respect.
Look forward to some tantalizing news coming from Curiosity over the next couple of years!
