Romney had outlined his views in 1994 during a political debate, and that his stance has not changed.
“I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue,” Romney stated during the debate. “I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation.”I may not yet be as old as dirt, but dirt and I are starting to have an awful lot in common... Re: More likely to vote for anyone but a Mormon
I just saw it yesterday... ruined mine too. It sucks that we have to vote for the lesser of two evils... because the lesser is STILL evil. I don't think Romney is fit to be a social conservative, and that has nothing to do with his Mormonism (which he seems to disagree with current Mormon leaders on nearly every social issue anyway
)

Re: More likely to vote for anyone but a Mormon
Old, dated excerpt from back when Romney was running against Ted K.
How much vomit did you regurgitate over Ronald Reagan's pro-abortion stance? Did that prevent you from voting for Reagan in 1980? Lemme guess: You couldn't make it to the polls to vote for Jimmy Carter that year, because you were throwing up too much over Reagan's erstwhile support for abortion rights?"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."

His press handler declared the other day that his view has not changed.
As conservative columnist Warner Tood Huston has written, "In light of the evidence it cannot be said that Reagan was ever an ‘adamant’ pro-abortion supporter."How much vomit did you regurgitate over Ronald Reagan's pro-abortion stance?
Please cite his "support"Did that prevent you from voting for Reagan in 1980? Re: More likely to vote for anyone but a Mormon
Isn't it common knowledge that Reagan was at one time pro-choice (as Cal. Gov.) and later underwent a "change of heart" and came out as newly converted to the pro-life cause?

Re: More likely to vote for anyone but a Mormon
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...7010541AA4IF6VHow can a pro-life conservative admire the baby killer Ronald Reagan?
As Governor of California in 1967, Reagan signed into law what was then the most liberal legislation regarding abortion.
As president, Reagan nominated the pro-choice Sandra Day O'Connor and the other pro-choice Kennedy!
Not a true conservative in my book!"I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's
religious conversation dwells chiefly, or even frequently,
on the faults of other people's religions, she/he is in a bad condition."

Re: More likely to vote for anyone but a Mormon
Here are other answers as to whether he was pro-choice::
Early in his career, he was Pro-choice, but he flip flopped when he wanted to run for President. Kind of like Mitt Romney.
Answerer 2
Pro-life ironically.
Answerer 3
Both. Originally he was pro-choice, but then switched over to pro-life.
Answerer 4

He'd put on whatever dance his puppet mastsers pulled his strings for. That'a why they gave him the pres job title."I think we may accept it as a rule that whenever a person's

"Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in c\taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning."
