A Glory Seed Devotional
Where there are clouds there is HOPE…

Ever asked yourself this question? “Where then is my hope? Can anyone find it?” (Job 17:15 NLT)

If you are familiar with the book of Job then you know that Job had it all then suddenly without warning and without knowing why suddenly WHAM! Then all Job had was a wife, and ugly sore ridden body. Does that story line have a familiar ring? Perhaps you’ve not lost “it all” maybe you’ve lost your job and with it clouds of despair has replaced the light of hope; perhaps you loss was a loved one; perhaps you loss was your heath; perhaps your dreams have become a nightmare.

If you know Job’s story then you also know that in the final chapter the clouds of despair are suddenly swept away by a Loving and Caring God. However, if you are at the beginning of Job’s story or somewhere in between now you know that when the time is right the light of hope will shine once again. Until then the Psalmist has some words to help you along the way. “So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD!” (Psalms 31:24 NLT) “We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone.” (Psalms 33:20-22 NLT)

In short, THE LORD IS OUR HOPE!

If you are on the other side of Job’s story, then you are in a position to help someone who is not and since you’re a “been there” disciple of Jesus, you can be a great source of encouragement unlike Job’s well meaning friends.

For each of you, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. I am fully convinced, my dear brothers and sisters, that you are full of goodness. You know these things so well you can teach each other all about them.” (Romans 15:13-14 NLT)

Grace and PEACE!
Gary

He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
And so I walk in the LORD's presence as I live here on earth!
(Psalms 116:8-9 NLT)
