You don't know that, Jim. Just some more liberal talking poop you're willing to eat.

Funny, never heard any of you complaining about that.
Yeah, you never heard of me complaining about Rogue snoring, either, so....

Why don't you just tell the truth
Jim, why don't you stop being a bottom feeder and making these outrageous accusations you can't support.

and admit that you are just small minded bigoted homophobes.
Why don't you stop jumping to conclusions and making goofy false accusations?

Seriously, you have some of the goofiest "logic", and all you seem capable of doing is regurgitating liberal talking points and calling names.

To be honest I'm diggging for the source. Most are citing an article from a paper called Military Times from 2015 that gave that number. They said they got it from the DoD budget, so I'm looking into that to see if I can fish it out, but so far no luck.

Anyone know if the DoD has an online and transparent budget?

I don't think how much they spend on viagra for veterans is anything that's Top Secret.

I just cited for you what effeminacy meant to 1st century Jews. As far as I can tell it has absolutely nothing at all to do with females being virtuous for being cowards. Medieval monks may not the best ones to go to when we want to accurately discern how 1st century Jews likely used Greek words.

I personally wouldn't speak so badly about soldiers who've served, are serving or in training to serve their country, but maybe that's just me.
How am I "speaking badly about soldiers who've served?"

Its according to the Defense Health Agency, and the report on the costs of viagra and other ED drugs is from back in 2015.

We're going to have to disagree that it means only, or mainly, men acting like women as in... dressing like them, talking or acting like them. At least until I have a chance to dive into the litterature on this. Something doesn't seem right with that.

I meant what you said would imply that being that it would be virtuous for women to be cowards, if in fact effeminacy primary means lack of fortitude. So far I would agree that this could be secondary meaning of the word, but I would say that the primary meaning is what I gave it to be.

You're also scoffing at one of the premiere Christian theologians to have ever lived. You were the one who said that it was mere 'gay apologetics', so I brought up St. Aquinas as fro where I got it from.

No if you're talking about 2015, you're referring to the Military Times article, and they were citing the 2014 budget of the Defense Health Agency. A report I still haven't found to verify this.

The US Military does cover erectile dysfunction up to and including prosthetic testicles for cosmetic reasons. So its not implausible that their budget for this is 84 million dollars, but I wanna see it exactly.

Frankly I have great sympathy for people who have been disfigured by accident, even more so soldiers who have been by wars they've fought in. Cosmetic reconstructive surgery does have a positive effect on people psychologically. Even if its for something like that.

The point though is that that the amount used by the US Military currently on transgender people is very little. What it would have spent if more joined, would realistically still have been very little. I don't think Trump is doing this out of budget concern. I suspect its something used to distract liberals with a moral concern. If he get can the liberals to take the bait, then the states in the bible belt will turn red and vote against it, more states could be made to swing red.

Me thinks he wants re-election. And if you wanna win a vote, scratch a bigots itch.

What in the world are you talking about?

First of all, the definition of malakoi could not be more clear as I've already demonstrated. Gagnon even offered up a contemporary for the word's context. I have no idea where your confusion lies. Second of all, I have no idea where you're getting this idea about women being virtuous cowards from anything that I cited Gagnon saying. As far as I can tell it's a complete Red Herring. Third of all, I'm not "scoffing at one of the premiere Christian theologians to have ever lived". Just because Aquinas is a great theologian doesn't mean that he has specialized training in how a Greek word was used by first century Jews. Is it honestly your view that all modern New Testament historical criticism is inferior to the exegesis of Medieval theologians who lacked the tools (and likely comparative manuscripts) at our disposal?

I think I must have misunderstood you at some point. I take it then you reject that its a description of lack of fortitude, and is, either exclusively or mainly about men taking on what is considered womanly to do? Dressing up, acting like women, taking on what society takes to be womanly?

At any rate its getting late here. Some 'manly men' aged-twenty something, are having a garden party, lots of shouting, lots of drinking, lots of singing songs and calling women hookers. I'll try to get some sleep regardless.

I mean, someone who acts effeminate may lack fortitude (the image of Corporal Klinger comes to mind), but no, that does not appear to be a (or certainly not the) defining characteristic of malakoi.
