I like the premise that the Boy Scouts of America is not already mired in politics. I bet if Trump had preached the politics of allowing gay Scout leaders to have close contact with young boys then the BSA would have welcomed his "political rhetoric" with open arms.

It's right and should be encouraged. It's particularly important that boys who identify as gay or are considering doing so, have role models they can look up to or talk to about any issues or questions they have.

I've lost the quote, but Boys Brigade here has allowed gay leaders for over 25 years, and the president of Boys Brigade here made a comment during the Same-Sex Marriage debate that they have had nothing but positive outcomes from accepting gay leaders and they have contributed tremendously to the organisation.

Incorrect. Multiple studies have shown the opposite. The researchers have speculated that the major difference in rates of pedophilia can be explained because more masculine body development tends to happen over the 15-20 year age range, so children are too effeminate and lack the masculine characteristics that gay men would find attractive, whereas straight men can find both young girls and boys attractive because both have a lot of feminine characteristics.
