I think that the entire healthcare debacle has demonstrated that a lot of the GOP leadership (in which I include Priebus) is incompetent.
The Democrats can win by showing competence and intelligence. However, seeing as how much of the Democratic party is in "RESIST!!!!" mode still, I have no expectations.Comment

You forget troll, The U.S. is a democracy, Trump is not a King. Sanctions against Russia, sanctions which Trump has no power to nullify, have been passed by Congress. The Magnitsky sanctions which Putin so badly wants lifted, will now stay in effect. Putins power to manipulate his puppets strings has been checked. Putin is so upset at this that he is now retaliating for the Obama sanctions. Gen. Flynn got Putin to hold off on his retaliation, back in December, but now that Putin sees that having a puppet in the White House isn't enough to get the magnitsky and Obama sanctions lifted he will now retaliate by throwing American personell and there families out of Russia. Helping to elect his puppet is probably hurting Putin and his Oligarch buddies a whole lot more than he ever expected. I'm not a Republican so I don't have a dog in this fight but I think political litmus tests are foolish. What ever happened to ideas like expanding your base and the "Big Tent" philosophy?
And to be clear, this isn't something unique to Republicans. Democrats who aren't pro-abortion but liberal on every other issue are often marginalized and even ostracized by other Democrats.

Doesn't matter if the President vetos a concressional bill, if congress has a veto proof majority. Congress can over ride a veto (and not signing a bill is what is called a "pocket veto"). Considering by how much this particular piece of legislation passed it looks certain that they would over ride it.Originally posted by Sparko View Post
