Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing Jehovah-Jireh...
    Beyond the horizon...
    Shalom!

““Have you visited the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of hail? (I have reserved them as weapons for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war.)” (Job 38:22–23, NLT)

You can see the horizon but you can’t see beyond it. When Patti and I are in Townsend, Tennessee one of our favorite activities is it drive up on a parkway where we can sit and watch the sun go down behind Knoxville. As the last sliver of the sun drops below the horizon it is a powerful spiritual experience for us. And as the rays of the sun explode from beyond the horizon it is a testimony to us that Jesus will always light our lives even though darkness has fallen.

Are there storms in your life? (Remember denial won’t make them go away.) Are you looking toward tomorrow’s horizon hoping for Jesus to bless you? However, the truth is the horizon will always be ahead of us. Even though the sun or other objects can drop below the horizon we never will. Even though we’ll never get beyond the horizon all we need to do is hold on to Jesus’ promise streaming at us from beyond the horizon. “…I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” (John 8:12, NLT)

In today’s scripture God questions Job from beyond the horizon following his trial by fire, while it was question to Job for us it is a reminder that God’s richest blessings lie beyond the horizon and all we need do to keep walking toward the Light of Jesus. For the two of us watching the sun fall behind Knoxville is a reminder to follow the SON as he leads us toward God’s richest blessings which come at the right time, and just as there is no end to the horizon there no end to God’s blessings.

“May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
