    The quote I was responding to didn't directly relate to prostitution. He was saying that it's foolish to make morality based legislation.

    That seems to be an argument for making it legal and heavily regulated.

    Right. I was speaking from the perspective of a normal society, not a theonomy or theocracy.

    I would think that is mostly due to it being illegal. Kinda like how it wasn't unheard of for alcohol to be tainted during Prohibition.

    May be true.

    ETA: To return to the topic of the thread, I am convinced there is no way to clear prostitution with Christian morality. Having said that I am at a loss as to what would make the most sense legally.
