Rivi's House of Cakes (and other desserts x3 )
AT LAST!!!! MY STRAWBERRY CAKE IS COMPLETED!!!

I haven't finished my giant Little Debbie swiss roll but It'll be done soon
Now look at teh picciehs!
2013-01-23_21-12-00_110.jpg
I made this cake using 9x9 square pan and baking a sponge cake for the base. For the icing I used whipping cream and separated it 1/3 of the cream for the top of the cake and mix the rest of it with strawberry extract for the sides. Also I filled the middle with strawberry jam and chopped strawberries. I finished the cake with strawberry halves ( they where supposed to be whole but I discovered that most of my strawberries, about a pound of them, were rotten
) and dusted the top of the cake with powdered sugar.
I also wanted to put the Sony Cat on there to make it cuter but...........
2013-01-23_21-12-12_842.jpg
That didn't turn out to well
Well if you like the cake and want the recipe I'll hit you up with it. More cakes coming soon!

Heads up! More cake on the way!!

It's my giant swiss roll! I made it with a chocolate sponge cake sheet with some heavy cream on the inside (with was too little ) and covered it with semi-sweet chocolate ganache. Now lets look on the inside shall we?

I'm gonna give this to the family ( which is weird since I'm a Little Debbie fangirl but since I already claimed the Strawberry cake I'll just give them this one )

SN: Here's my little niece Taz!

She barged in my room and was looking for me. So to save my skin I allured her temporally with my web cam so I'm safe for now.
Don't let her cuteness fool you. She does that to lure in her prey. Once she does she'll have you in her grasp!

Here is my Melon Bread.
2013-01-31_21-15-08_980.jpg
Basically it's bread with a sugar cookie layer on top. This bread is very popular in Japan as well as some parts of Latin America. (according to Wikipedia)

See those cute ridges on top?

Yum!
This melon bread does remind me a little of Mexican sweet breads of my childhood.
Please send me the video.
Does it take long to make this?

Re: Rivi's House of Cakes (and other desserts x3 )
Well it'll take 10 minutes for the yeast to be active, another 10 minutes for kneading, an hour for the dough to rise, then after you put together the cookie and the bread gotta wait another 30 minutes, THEN you preheat another 10 minutes, then finally you bake it on 395F for 10-12 minutes.
So it'll take 2 hours in total to make this. It's worth it though
As for the vid:
Unforchantly her melon bread is much nicer looking than mines.

This pancake was much requested on SB so I decided to take a pic of it the next time I made one. this is topped with whipping cream and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Also I put some cream in the middle (which made it a little to sweet for me but oh well it's all gone now!
