The Christians on this site are fairly efficient at persecuting any Christians who hold dissenting views enough to make them leave this site. I've seen it happen numerous times.

Confederate monuments were erected to honour a regime that enslaved African-Americans in defiance of the Civil War values and to maintain the "values" of the Jim Crow era. If any good came out of the Charlottesville horror it was to draw attention to these monuments of discrimination and the removal of their symbols. Yes, I think erasing history is always a bad thing, the fact is no one even noticed these statues five years ago, and giving the pitiful education in this country most people couldn't tell you the difference between Lee and Grant, most people probably don't even know what the Civil war was about. These were not monuments of discrimination, they were basically non entities, until the left decided to use them for political ends and to induce chaos and hatred.

No. The monuments were erected to honor men who were valiant in battle. Period. You are a classic example of a hypocritical liberal who pretends to be "color blind" regarding race, but turns everything into race.

Got to love his delusions. Being in the military had given me access to many different denominations across the US and I have yet to see much in terms of huge differences. His nutty interpretations of the Bible is out of step with pretty much every major denomination out there and many of the chaplains I've asked thought the were out there too. What does that matter though? They only had to graduate a seminary and be sponsored by a denomination. They are obviously idiots to the great Starlight.
