Eschatology 201 Guidelines

This area of the forum is primarily for Christian theists to discuss orthodox views of Eschatology. Other theist participation is welcome within that framework, but only within orthodoxy. Posts from nontheists that do not promote atheism or seek to undermine the faith of others will be permitted at the Moderator's discretion - such posters should contact the area moderators before posting.

Without turning this forum into a 'hill of foreskins' (Joshua 5:3), I believe we can still have fun with this 'sensitive' topic.

However, don't be misled, dispensationalism has only partly to do with circumcision issues. So, let's not forget about Innocence, Conscience, Promises, Kingdoms and so on.

End time -isms within orthodox Christianity also discussed here. Clearly unorthodox doctrines, such as those advocating "pantelism/full preterism/Neo-Hymenaeanism" or the denial of any essential of the historic Christian faith are not permitted in this section but can be discussed in Comparative Religions 101 without restriction. Any such threads, as well as any that within the moderator's discretions fall outside mainstream evangelical belief, will be moved to the appropriate area.

Millennialism- post-, pre- a-

Futurism, Historicism, Idealism, and Preterism, or just your garden variety Zionism.

From the tribulation to the anichrist. Whether your tastes run from Gary DeMar to Tim LaHaye or anywhere in between, your input is welcome here.

OK folks, let's roll!

Let's see, Jesus gave His life for the Church. The Chruch is the bride of Christ. That's it! Jesus is the Hero and the Church is a damsel in distress! If Jesus were a superhero(He isn't, He's way more awesome than any mere superhero), Christians would be that inexperienced sidekick that gets captured by the bad guys(hopefully not beaten to death by a crowbar)..
If it weren't for the Resurrection of Jesus, we'd all be in DEEP TROUBLE!

The belittling nickname you're using puts the lie to your assertion.
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

          Scripture Verse: Isaiah 30:

6 A prophecy concerning the animals of the Negev:

Through a land of hardship and distress,
          of lions and lionesses,
          of adders and darting snakes,
the envoys carry their riches on donkeys’ backs,
their treasures on the humps of camels,
          to that unprofitable nation,

          7
to Egypt, whose help is utterly useless.
          Therefore I call her
          Rahab the Do-Nothing.

According to your logic, because God called the Egyptians a belittling nickname, He didn't love them. Edited by a Moderator If you'd only crack open your Bible, you might avoid these embarrassing faux pas.

Jesus could solve the plot of ever movie in two nanoseconds! He's awesome. God is bigger than crazy conspiracy theories. What's wrong with praying to God for assistance and trusting in Him no matter what happens? And FEMA camps? Really???? What next? Firemen stop saving people from burning buildings and become arsonists instead? The coast guard sinks ships instead of saving ships?

You know that the phrase "conspiracy theory" doesn't make reality alter, right? Congress determined that a conspiracy killed Kennedy. "Conspiracy theory" was a phrase created by the drug running CIA specifically to ostracize people who did not trust the government implicitly and despite government's track record of slaughtering its citizens.

That your lack of concern for the truth has left you and your loved ones ill prepared for what's coming, those of us who love God and the truth have spent our times wisely preparing oil for our lamps to withstand the troublesome times ahead.

Conspiracy to commit a crime is not the same as global Conspiracy Theoriestm. I'm referring to wacky theorines like "the Moon landings were faked".Why should I believe you? I can take scripture out of context too! "Judas went and hanged himself... go therefore and do likewise".

In every alternative universe I scarf massive amounts of bacon.

I don't. With great power comes great responsibility and I am irresponsible.

I think most Christians know something is not right in world, even if they're not futurist. It's not just wars and rumors of wars but all the side craziness that's coming with it. But they won't admit this here on Tweb, especially when the thread is as confrontational as this one is. Tweb has pretty much become side against side anyway.
