Wat ಠ_ಠ
OT: Anti-Screwball to Charles Hill for continuing his great series: Ten Basic Facts that Every Christian Should Know. The most recent post is here.
His other series about misconceptions on NT cannon is also good.
Of course, the bastion of the ideal hive mind, Reddit, is basically Screwball central. r/Christianity is the place to go if you want crazy, liberal Christians (and some atheist as well) who should be nominated for life.
And of course, as soon as someone post the link above, the screwballs came a-rushin (I won't link to the Reddit post since it has bad language, some from a "Baptist" to boot!
):
Here's one goober on the title of Hill's post:
And another one:

Not only does he not cite those "scholary" sources, but his oblivious to the fact that Hill IS a scholar. (Edited a "little" Oxford book called "Early Text of the NT")

Of course, there aren't that many commentators on that post since the majority of r/Christianity prefer repeating variations of "We Christians should tolerate" or some pathetic debates on sexuality instead of apologetics or heavier stuff. (Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against wise toleration, but not reading the same mushy kind every day on a supposedly "Christian" foru...I mean circlej......I mean hivemind.)
Thankfully, the less well-known subreddits, including r/ChristianApologetics, are much better, so give the mods there a Anti-Screwball.Last edited by GK Kirbyton; March 5th 2013 at 02:29 AM. Reason: Lots of grammar stuff

Re: March 2013 Screwballs
Krensharpaw's comprehension level is about as low as it always was. His comments on Housekeeping video 1: What is a Fundamentalist Atheist:
Ya I saw that video and don't really see it at all. Like in 4:22 where it tries to claim the atheist takes the bible seriously...really? So basiclly it comes down to I voice my opinion about religion and disagree with you so there, fundie atheist I am. You really are a funny person. I also, love how you do alot of the samethings yet, you're not a fundie. Double standerds anyone?
Also, to add after gettin to the end of the video (again) I really don't do these things. Most of the time when I talked about the bible it was based on the claims other christians have done. So basiclly you've shown me why I can't take you seriously. I don't do those things, but since you claim I do, I'm a fundie atheist now...even though you have done those things yourself. But as said before, whatever you need to tell yourself guy. Have a good one.

Re: March 2013 Screwballs
Screwball to DarkMatter2525 and meridianfrost for their pathetic, dishonest responses to the collaboration by CartesianTheist, InspiringPhilosophy, and others.
DarkMatter's Stupid Response: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkZnQJ2U9ZM
He thinks TheisticThinker strawmanned the points in the video by saying "size doesn't determine significance", as he asserts that wasn't the point in the original video this collaboration was responding to, when 30 seconds into said video, they start by saying "the universe is massive, and we are so insignificant compared to it". Oh yeah, and he apparently thinks that doing good things in thanks for God, and doing things for the recognition of God are the same thing.
Meridianfrost's Even Stupider Response: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7ybffZFFTg
He also immediately banned me (and removed my comments) when I pointed out everything wrong at the 2:30 mark. Dummy tried to respond to TheisticThinker's point about size not determining significance, by saying that life is insignificant compared to the universe (completely ignoring that he said that size doesn't determine significance), then says life is special and valuable, AKA significant, because of how amazing and rare it is, unintentionally supporting TheisticThinker's point that size doesn't determine significance! He also whined about how the video was "too sentimental" or, how TheDutchPhilosopher talking about coming into a relationship with God was "too stupid". Oh yeah, and he continued his whining by constantly calling CartesianTheist • Edited by a Moderator •. Apparently his polite, civil tone, and well articulated sentences, make him sound like a • Edited by a Moderator •. If this droning dolt was projecting any harder, he'd be able to point himself at a wall to show Powerpoint presentations. Platinum Screwball anyone?

An interview conducted by TheStinkingAtheist. He lists the "similarities" between Horus and Jesus as one of his main reasons for deconverting. Just goes to show: Fundies will always be fundies, no matter which side they're on.

Gold-plated, mint first edition and autographed Anti-screwball to CS Lewis for "The Great Divorce". I read it last night in one sitting and was reminded just why I love that man so much. I haven't been challenged in my thinking so much since I read "Til We Have Faces".

Then Morgoth turned upon Húrin, and he said: 'Fool, little among Men, and they are the least of all that speak! Have you seen the Valar, or measured the power of Manwë and Varda?
Do you know the reach of their thought? Or do you think, perhaps, that their thought is upon you, and that they may shield you from afar?'
'I know not,' said Húrin. 'Yet so it might be, if they willed. For the Elder King shall not be dethroned while Arda endures.'

To which I said:JP, you cannot appeal to an uncivil era, the one Jesus lived in, to defend your incivility. We are a more civilized people you see. Civility evolves, just like religion, just like morality. Socrates, for instance, would have been booted from any academic institution in today's world he was so very bombastic. Just read the ending of Plato's Euthyphro and see for yourself. Surely you know what he said at his trial and afterward as they were deciding his sentence, right? After being judged guilty by a marginal vote he blasted the Senate, even saying they should give him a pension for what he does. That turned into an overwhelming vote for him to die. And you use that era to defend what you do? I think a better case can be made that this is who you are so that's why you defend it.
Please, there is no parity at all between me and thee.

YT fundy atheist Adam Holmes:
My reply:I didn't realize you were religious. Now I know that I can't take anything you say seriously because i know you believe in little fairys in the clouds judging everything you do. You do not know what you are talking about and only harm the world by turning impressionable people onto your skewered veiw of reality. Old world thinking from the stone age needs to go before we progress onto more important issues then pleasing your non-existant master.

YouTuber mikefromwa is such a deep thinker:
"The whole debate is like arguing about the existence of leprechauns or the philosophical implications of the My Little Pony cartoons. It's all just mental masturbation for people who can't come to terms with the fact that all religion is utter nonsense."
