A Glory Seed Devotional
Anticipating Easter 2013…

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 ESV)

Life is a journey of discovery. Lent is a special time we set aside in order to heighten our journey of discovery so we can deepen our relationship with Jesus. Warren Wiersbe in his latest book writes about following Jesus on our journey of discovery. (Please make special note of the emphasized sentence.)

Jesus is the way to the Father’s house and the truth about the Father’s heart; but He is also the one who brings us the Father’s help as we abide in Him and share His life. The will of God never leads us where the grace and power of God cannot help us and see us through. Truth and life go together, for the truth was given to us to help us experience life and power in the Spirit. “And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe” (1 Thess. 2:13).***

The song the “Anchor Holds” contains a line that has over the years is becoming more meaningful and powerful for me with each passing year. And in light of the seemingly dark times we are in and coming into I offer it and the song to the truthfulness that: The will of God never leads us where the grace and power of God cannot help us and see us through. “But it was in the night when I faced the storms of my life.
