Well for starters you're a moron for misreading my post as being me saying it as opposed to passing on what the media are saying.

And yet all of the Texas officials have praised Trump and FEMA as doing an excellent job.

Here's what would make me stand up and applaud Trump:
If he said, "These floods are costing people so, so much, in damage, in jobs, in lives. We need to make sure they don't happen again. We need to make our infrastructure great again. Forget walls with Mexico. We need to make America have the greatest infrastructure in the world. Cities that don't flood. The best highways. The best airports. The fastest trains. FDR gave us the New Deal with great building projects that made this country great. Let's make this country great again. We'll employ hundreds of thousands of people, giving them jobs in building and construction. I know construction! I'm the greatest at construction! And we'll make our country so great that Mexico will wish they could pay for the same thing to happen to them!"

Instead the Republicans are busy trying to cut $1 billion out of the flood budget to give it to their rich donors in tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy.

I agree that anyone criticizing Melania for her shoe choice is silly. Like Fox News was when it flipped out over Obama's tan-suit. Or when the right-wing whined on about Hillary's "pantsuits". The very left-leaning Daily Show mocked the people complaining about Melania's foot-wear.

Antifa is a lot more complex. Are some of the specific things they've done wrong? Most likely, I haven't been following them closely. Is it somewhat sensible for them to cover their faces to prevent identification? Yes - some of the neo-nazis at the Charlottesville rally are regretting being identified and probably wish they'd take a page out of the KKK book and worn a white bedsheet over their head to prevent identification. Are the overall goals and purposes of the Antifa organisation laudable? I would say it's complicated: They're using methods I don't like to fight groups I don't like, and then ends don't seem to justify the means very well and they don't seem to be achieving much other than creating arguments for crazed right-wingers of "well the left does violence too!!!" Are Antifa 'just as bad' as those they are fighting against? No - in no way, shape, or form, are people who are against Nazis / KKK / etc as bad as people are for them, even if they stoop to using the methods of the opposition, and anyone who pretends that anti-Nazis are as bad as Nazis reveals their own moral bankruptcy by that false equivalence.

Secondly, you're making the assumption that Trump actually visited damaged parts of Corpus Christi, which doesn't actually appear to be the case - if you read further below the twitter comment I linked to, the reporter asked Trump's press secretary to clarify Trump's claims that he'd seen the destruction "first hand" since the media apparently knew he hadn't visited the damaged parts of the city, and Trump's press secretary apparently explained "He met with a number of state and local officials who have been eating, sleeping, and breathing the Harvey disaster." Obviously that literally amounts to having second-hand experience of the disaster, not "first-hand" like Trump claimed in his tweet. So it looks like the nasty liberal media were right on this as per usual.

Yeah like he couldn't see the destruction from the air? or during his drive to visit the officials? Or during his visits with the officials? It was everywhere, Starlight. The whole city, as shown by the photos I posted.
