For too long people have bandied about the term "saved" without understanding what they're talking about. What is it we're saved from? Scripture says Jesus came to save us from our sins. Men, because they are corrupt, changed that to mean He came to save us from the consequences of being sinful. He did come to do that, too, but only as a function of delivering us from being sinful. There is no punishment He would not inflict upon us to deliver us from sin.

Clarification: "Saved" in my question means avoiding hell, having eternal life on the New Earth with God.

So? Do you believe you can be saved if you continue to sin? That Jesus will save you as long as you have faith in him and forgive you of your sins, or that Jesus merely assists you on stopping sinning and you have to stop sinning before you can be saved and have eternal life?

Your definition of saved doesn't interest or concern me, being unbiblical.

You don't believe Jesus came to pay for our sins on the cross and give us eternal life on the New Earth after the judgment?

Guess what? Sparko is one of the owners of this site, and you post here at HIS leisure. The 4 owners do not take avoiding a direct question from them lightly. Either state what you believe, or we will change your faith designation to Unorthodox and forbid you from posting in the Christian only areas. Your choice.
