Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
A healthy fear of the dark…
    Shalom!

From my childhood into my early adulthood I was afraid of the dark but over time conquered it. And now that I am entering senior adulthood I have a healthy fear of the dark. What I mean by a healthy fear of the dark is when my life becomes darkened by circumstances beyond my control I turn control over to someone who has ultimate control of my life, God. And then God begins not only take control of the situation He also turns His Light on us as illustrated in the scriptures. “God constantly encourages us to trust Him in the dark. “And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness— secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.” (Isaiah 45:3, NLT)

What intrigued me about what Isaiah was saying was this, “And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness— secret riches.” What are the hidden treasures available to those who trust God? As I became a “Treasure Hunter” I found these hidden diamonds: “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4, NLT)

And the diamonds get bigger and more valuable: “Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.”” (John 8:12, NLT)

And last but not least: “Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?” (James 2:5, NLT)

Crustyism 1.2: When life gets dark don’t look for a light switch, instead look for God.

“May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

Amen Gary!!! Another Crustyism that I'm going to commit to heart.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
