  • Egalitarianism and voting in marriage

Egalitarianism makes things sound so good, right? Both parties get equal vote. It's fair and good, right???

    Wrong!

Let's say we have egalitarian marriage. Now wife wants to do something, but husband says 'no!!!'. They argue, but no one budging! What does egalitarianism say?

Answer: they both cast vote, but on opposite side. So tie.

But then guess what! Wife does what she wants to do anyway. So what does egalitarianism say now? She got 'extra vote', becomes 'tie-breaker'! Also, vote of husband of hers didn't even matter. 'Fair and good'!!!

Of course, in egalitarian marriage, when husband does what he wants anyway and so "gets 'tie-breaker extra '''''''vote''''''' ' ", then by magic egalitarian marriage is now patriarchy.

This post reads like it was crafted by somebody who has never been married.
"I am not angered that the Moral Majority boys campaign against abortion. I am angry when the same men who say, "Save OUR children" bellow "Build more and bigger bombers." That's right! Blast the children in other nations into eternity, or limbless misery as they lay crippled from "OUR" bombers! This does not jell." - Leonard Ravenhill

Like I said, egalitarian view of marriage, also 'voting in marriage' is completely ridiculous. Thanks for agreeing!!!
