Did they have one of the players catch the ball with his butt? If not, then no, it did not have everything. I can't remember which game it happened in, but it was hilarious.

That would not be on a list of things I'd ask for

Yeesh... that article is hard to follow.

All in all, Super Bowl LII is currently the lowest rated since Super Bowl XLIV in 2010, when the New Orleans Saints thrashed the Indianapolis Colts on CBS. That first Super Bowl appearance and win for the Saints garnered a 46.4 in metered market ratings.

So it's the sixth highest-rated Super Bowl ever, it's up 9% over the 2005 Super Bowl, but it declined 5% since the last time the big game was on NBC in 2015, and it's the lowest rated Super Bowl since 2010.

What I'm getting from this is that even the Super Bowl couldn't pull the NFL out of its season-long ratings slump.

The problem is those numbers simply don't add up. There is no possible way for it to be the sixth highest rated ever AND the lowest in 8 years.

I'm getting the exact opposite. The regular season numbers were down rather more than 3%.

The consensus around the office is that it was a very good game, without the on-field controversy many feared over officiating, and that it therefore saved the season.

I think the 3% reference was in comparison with last season's Super Bowl not regular season numbers (which were down much further from last year).

I caught the one guy giving credit to "My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ".... that was worth seeing!

I'll have to ask my dad which game that was in, because it was hilarious. Your reaction to my description is funny as well. You can stop worrying by the way, he still had his pants on when it happened.

Kind of like the technicality in pro sumo that if the mawashi comes all the way off, that wrestler* loses. Fortunately, it doesn't really happen.** Typically IF the belt begins to get loose, the referee catches it, calls a pause, and then tightens/re-ties it as needed.

**there is only one isolated incident in recent history of which I'm aware, and it's a number of years ago now.
