As for single parents ... they are a tragic extension of the degradation of our world.
Well, I will tell my sis that, because she is a single Mom of 4 girls....Guess she had better stayed with her alcoholic beating husband.... missed that

About Gay parents: A parent is a parent, no matter how you look at it.......it is not our place to judge. Only God can look into the hearts and see the real meaning and real intentions of humans. And Gay people are as much valuable to our society as heterosexual people....at least those men have taste and a sense of art poetry and fashion ...(just kidding)

A loving parent is more worth than the gender of the parent......simple as that! IMHO of course....

What ever people choose in their lives...it is their choice, not yours or mine...THEIR choice. I respect that.......always. (and for the record I am talking not about criminal behavior and so on....just a way of llife)
Lots of love and sunshine ,

And an alcoholic beating husband is not an example of the degredation of our world?

"Our natural experiences (sensory, emotional, imaginative) are only like the drawing, like pencilled lines on flat paper. If they vanish in the risen life, they will vanish only as pencil lines vanish from the real landscape, not as a candle flame that is put out but as a candle flame which becomes invisible because someone has pulled up the blind, thrown open the shutters, and let in the blaze of the risen sun." - C.S. Lewis, Transposition.

As if domestic violence did not exist centuries ago.....in fact as time passes, domestic violence is now recognized as a crime and punishable by the law. As we immerge from a patriarchal society where women and children were victimized without much hope to be heard.....what used to be hidden in some homes closets, is now in the open, exposed.

      go and sin no more."

what do you think he meant by that?
bytheway i want to applaud neonblack ...that was pretty solid....

now i think myself to be a virtuoso in this arena for many reasons...
      like:

after my mother and father divorced my father told me that mom wanted to abort me in the first place (yes that was slanderous).
my mom got pregnant while my dad was in jail for beating my sister (she was at the time very very young, toddlerish.) i lived with dad after the divide, (and i love them both) but dad was a drug dealer....until he fell off a cluff and went into a coma for ayear ...before he was a vegetable for a decade..before he chewed off one of his fingers...before he died in a resthome from pneumonia...
i ended up a surrogate orphan..not wanting to know my mother (who had subsequent to prior events, admitted not wanting to ever bear me {that's ok i still love her})
iended up being a drug dealer and a thief, i had homosexual thoughts and i did forsake those thoughts (they never dictated who i was to become!)
i went to prison where i was quite constantly (womanized{?}) but never was actually raped...i know men who were homosexuals, men who used homosexuals, and men who hated them....
what the Bible says is the final authority...curses are inflicted upon those who sin...the inflictions vary according to the curse...God sees no difference between the values of sins...but it is quite obvious that sins do have differing (real/tangible) effects... the least of which is the visitation of said sins upon the following generations...thus high crime rates...thus abortions....thus single parents (who are not inherently in sin for this reason but are forthwith effected by the sins of both themselves and others)
God can save homosexuals...and i am not one to condemn them for what they are doing, but i will judge that what they are doing (effectively and continually) is definitely wrong.
      Scripture Verse:

Romans 6:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?

to think that you can continue living your life in any way that you are fully aware is contrary to God's will is irrefutably foolhearted...you should really think twice before presuming that you can abuse God's mercy and grace..God is not one to be tested....
yes we are all sinners...but we have been called to do away with the flesh...step by step toward the glory that God has promised...there is no reason to linger any longer in the sin that is damaging our salvation, in and of it's fertherance....
Jesus did't tell Mary to, "Please cut down on your hooking, sweetheart." he told her to go forward and not regress into the sin (obligation) that he had released her of.
that is : Go and sin no more.
not that we will never sin again..but that we should shun it in hopes of becoming more like Him...
Jesus was not gay and anyone who says otherewise is a liar, a thief, and a scoundrel...and it would be better for him that a millstone should be tied around his neck and he be cast into a lake...
btw...if you are going to try and refute what i say, then use the whole context not one fragment.

much love to all...sometimes that's all it takes.
i do love homosexuals...just not in the active sense.

      Well said, Emulator.

I might encourage you to read my brother's story. The link is in my signature. If you haven't started already, you might hvae some catching up to do, but so what? It is serialized... I post another chapter every day or so. I'm most of the way through it, now. I think you might really appreciate his story.
Thanks for your patience in the thread's I have previously committed myself to. Things are still difficult and topsy-turvy here, and I may actually start work somewhere this week (strong likelihood), so I'll do my best to answer some of those threads! See you in the forums...

When even our Christian leadership has committed to a strategy of compromising on "Do not murder" by supporting judges [like Alito], politicians [like Bush] and rulings that explicitly will kill certain innocent children, it is absurd for us to ask God to bless America. -- Bob Enyart, 1/18/06
