He was enabled in this attempt to spin the situation by several in the MSM including Reuters and ABC. Here is ABC's original headline which glosses over his apparent attempt (which he does not deny) to molest a 14 year old boy and instead focused on his saying he was gay which was not exactly a secret.

News flash for ABC: Pushing a 14 year old boy on to a bed and then climbing on top of him does not constitute "sexual harassment" but rather is criminal sexual assault.
