Chiliasm was condemned as heretical somewhere around then, and Revelation mostly fell out of favor for a while, especially in the East (it was rehabilitated among Greeks in the 6th century by Andrew of Caesarea's commentary, and IIRC it was accepted by the Syrians a couple centuries later; the Armenian church, AFAIK, never did accept it as canonical).
As I understand it, there's actually debate that Chiliasm was ever actually specifically deemed heretical in the 4th/5th centuries, though it's also my understanding that the Eastern Orthodox Church has already determined the matter settled (not so much the Roman Catholic Church, or a number of Protestant churches, of course).

I understand why there would be debate, as I can't point to any conciliar condemnation of it (and in the East, that's what matters).
Enter the Church and wash away your sins. For here there is a hospital and not a court of law. Do not be ashamed to enter the Church; be ashamed when you sin, but not when you repent. – St. John Chrysostom

Feds: Academy broke law by selling rifle used in Sutherland Springs church attack

SAN ANTONIO - A sporting goods retailer violated the law by selling an AR-15-style rifle and large-capacity magazine to a man who used them to kill more than two dozen worshippers at First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, federal prosecutors said.

The Department of Justice said Tuesday in a San Antonio court filing that Devin Kelley presented a Colorado driver's license at an Academy Sports + Outdoors store in San Antonio to buy the rifle and ammunition.

Prosecutors said federal law requires Academy to comply with Colorado statutes that would have prohibited the sale.

        Academy declined comment Thursday.

Prosecutors want to add Academy as a responsible third party in an ongoing lawsuit.
