Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
    FAITH…
    Shalom!

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Galatians 2:20, NLT)

“So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.”
(Romans 10:17, NLT) Over the years the difficulties that have come my way have strengthened my FAITH. I am not talking about faith in its intellectual meaning (although that it part of it) I am talking about the courage it gives me to keep going against overwhelming odds. No matter how strong my FAITH is today there was a time when I lived my life only in faith. And as I began to realize that faith was not enough the Holy Spirit began reminding me of the bible stories I learned as a youth. The Spirit then opened the doorway where FAITH began nullifying faith and I began my FAITH journey.

In many ways FAITH is Past’s gift to the present and is based solely on the words of Jesus and his story of past adventures with persons just like us. FAITH is the “vehicle” whereby Jesus’ story not only comes alive is us but also gives us the power and ability to live our lives in Christ.

One of the most influential “Jesus FAITH stories” in my life came as a small boat loaded with the disciples and Jesus as they encountered a “killer storm” and after struggling with their own abilities the disciples decided to exchange faith for FAITH and turned to Jesus. “PEACE be still,” Jesus commanded, and my FAITH grew stronger and believe it or not continues to become stronger each time I rehearse the story.

“While we live in these earthly bodies, we groan and sigh, but it’s not that we want to die and get rid of these bodies that clothe us. Rather, we want to put on our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by life. God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing.” (2 Corinthians 5:4–7, NLT)

FAITH is Jesus’ gift to your now!
HOPE is Future’s gift to your now!
PEACE is God’s gift to your now!

“May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary
