Glory Seed Guidelines

Notice – The ministries featured in this section of TheologyWeb are guests of this site and in some cases not bargaining for the rough and tumble world of debate forums, though sometimes they are. Additionally, this area is frequented and highlighted for guests who also very often are not acclimated to debate fora. As such, the rules of conduct here will be more strict than in the general forum. This will be something within the discretion of the Moderators and the Ministry Representative, but we simply ask that you conduct yourselves in a manner considerate of the fact that these ministries are our invited guests. You can always feel free to start a related thread in general forum without such extra restrictions. Thank you.

These daily devotionals are brought to you by Gary Piper, a writer with our Sister Site, Natural Spirit Ministries. TheologyWeb encourages you to visit and support their site.... they have many informative articles which can be discussed right here. If you enjoy Gary Piper's devotionals, please send him an encouraging note or post. We are very appreciative of our partnership with Natural Spirit Ministries and look forward to many more co-ventures.

Glory Seed Devotional’s, 2017: Anticipating and Experiencing God...
    A Tender heart…
    Shalom!

“Finally, all of you, have… a tender heart.” (1st Peter 3:8 ESV)

How hard is it to have a tender heart these days?

    Hard!

That's right, hard and here’s why.

“You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!” (2 Timothy 3:1–5, NLT) And then there are reasons that are unique to your own life.

Hard as it is or as hard as it seems to be nevertheless as Christians we are called and empowered to be –Tender Hearted People or THP’s. As a THP one thing you need to remember that with Jesus things are not always what they seem to be, the rich are poor and the poor are rich – the strong are weak and the weak are strong – to lose ones life it to gain life. Therefore, with Jesus having a tender heart is available for the asking. The Prophet Ezekiel prophesied, “Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship idols. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.” (Ezekiel 36:25–27, NLT)

A quote from the Book of James lends itself for timely advice for us THP’s. “…you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.” (James 4:2–3, NLT) James’ advice is simply, ask not for your own benefit but for the benefit of others and you will receive.

From one THP to another – May the Spirit of Tenderheartedness as illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus bless you each and every moment of not only today but every day.

“May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” **
    Grace and PEACE,
    Gary

Hi yet again Crusty! Yet another home run of a Glory Seed that speaks to me exactly where I am right now. The cares of the world a bit wearing me down and in this I’m wondering what God is doing. Your Glory Seeds have been giving the answers that I know are the right ones.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures --1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (borrowed with gratitude from 37818's sig)
