Looks like some polling has Moore behind by 10 points or so.

I wonder if there's a "shame factor" here.... people who won't tell the polling people they're going to vote for Moore because there is so much effort to shame them out of it.

Eh, it looks better for Moore on the whole. Not enough to be sure, most of the ones I favor (I like larger samples) favor Moore but that's just me.

My wife uses a much more sophisticated and technical term about such men - she calls them "icky".

Both terms are applicable IMHBAO And seem to apply the same methodology used in defining, namely what U.S. Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart established in Jacobellis v. Ohio back in 1964. And that is, of course, the "I-know-it-when-I-see-it" doctrine.

There have been times my wife has said (concerning a new person at church) something like "they just give me the creeps". I usually don't see it, cause I just like everybody. She has yet to be wrong.

Fortunately, I've learned to listen to her better.

Fox News is the only poll having Jones ahead by 10 points. Fox, being an arm of the republican party, that's not hard to figure out. They want to make sure Moore supporters aren't complacent, that they don't take his victory for granted, and get out to vote.

If Moore wins tomorrow by 2 or 3 % say, then Fox's poll would be off by 12 or 13%, and to be such an outlier, off by that much, would be pretty good evidence that FOX's poll was phoney.

I imagine, given the amount of voter suppression that Republicans have put into place, that all polling agencies will be having great trouble predicting the outcome, because so many black and Latino voters won't realize they've had their voting rights taken away from them until they actually turn up to the polls on voting day and are denied a vote.
