  • Bernie to Rescue the Democratic Party

The six figure socialist comments on Brazille's book, and cites the need to unite, working with Hillary.

How to Fix the Democratic Party

Donna Brazile’s recent book makes it abundantly clear how important it is to bring fundamental reforms to the Democratic Party. The party cannot remain an institution largely dominated by the wealthy and inside-the-Beltway consultants. It must open its doors and welcome into its ranks millions of working people and young people who desperately want to be involved in determining the future of our nation.

Last year, Secretary Hillary Clinton and I agreed upon the need for a Unity Reform Commission to move the party in a new and more democratic direction. In a few weeks, this group will have its final meeting in Washington, D.C., and will decide if we are going to move forward in an inclusive way or continue with the current failed approach.

It doesn't appear that he disputes the content of Brazille's book, which I thought was interesting.
The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.

He has conned the young people in college by a fictitious bribe of free college. They would turn out in droves for him. This is scary.

Bernie reminds me of that bit from The Simpsons where Krusty the Clown took a bribe as a film festival judge. He says very quietly, "Mr. Burns' film really moved me," then loudly declares "Into a bigger house! Oh, wait, I said the loud part quiet and the quiet part loud."

He also has gone memetic. He has a way of messing with young folks. Now a lot of young folks think this near eighty year old commie knows what he is doing.

pretty sure he has gone memetic because he appeals to young people, it's young people creating most memes. and he appeals to them because they think he will make the lies of the benefits of liberalism come true for them. a lot of them have student debt (after signing up for women's studies degrees) and most young people have much worse job prospects. it's a ripe time for saviors and charlatans.

Keep in mind that a recent poll by YouGov found that millennials would rather live in either a socialist, communist or fascist nation than a capitalistic one. Of course the same poll found that they are the least likely group to know what capitalism means, were the only age group where the majority said capitalism works against them and most wouldn't be bothered if people thought they were a communist.

Fortunately Gen Z (the youngest group) have a much better grip on things than the snowflakes in that they have the most favorable impression of capitalism of any age group and actually can identify the various systems at a higher rate as well.

I'm always still in trouble again

This is interesting given that Bernie isn't even a Democrat.

That's OK, he and Hillary couldn't explain the difference between a Democrat and a socialist in their first debate.

yeah the only scarier thing than Hillary as President would be Sanders as President.

hillary as president is far scarier than bernie as president. the neocons would stonewall sanders while hillary would have an easier time getting things done since they are basically the same thing. And I see no indication he is anywhere near as corrupt as she is. a bernie presidency would be 4 years of bernie shouting at the moon and nothing much happening

I wouldn't trust our idiot Congress to keep him in check.

So, basically, Sanders is America's very own Jeremy Corbyn.
