Right there is no conclusive evidence, certainly no conclusive evidence that abnormal hormonal exposure necessarily causes same sex attraction. But my point remains, in my 65 years I have seen a number of fringe ideas become accepted or mainstream. So your objection holds no water...

I just go by what the science shows, and the science shows that race is a social construct and there is an in utero biological cause of homosexuality. I can see these understandings changing in their details like with Newton's laws and relativity but like Newton's laws these are so well established that it's unthinkable they are overturned in a major way.

If someone wants to be another race within the framework of race as a social contruct the only way to do so is to change how society sees race to such an extent that race groups are reclassified, which is impossible. If someone wants to be another race within the framework of skin color and physical characteristics (as per society's race artifice) there is no biological basis for that desire so a medical procedure would be unethical.

Skin color doesn't really determine a social construct of race. There are very light skinned blacks, and very dark skinned caucasians for example.
